Assistant Brand Manager – FMCG (Australia & New Zealand)

About the role

The Assistant Brand Manager will support new product development across Australia and New Zealand for a leading FMCG company. You will help shape marketing and media plans, contribute to brand strategy and work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing and media plans for upcoming product ranges.
• Analyse shopper and consumer insights, conduct financial evaluations and ensure product availability.
• Contribute to brand plan definition, including media planning and budget optimisation.
• Consolidate data from multiple sources to produce actionable recommendations aligned with sales targets.
• Manage the A&P budget and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Lead operational projects such as new SKU development and post‑activity performance reviews.
• Collaborate with sales, logistics, regional marketing and other internal functions.
• Participate in the ANZ Marketing Community and support ad‑hoc regional projects.

Required profile

• University degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Experience in brand management or marketing within the Australian FMCG market.
• Proven track record in new product development, brand campaigns and performance analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using scan data and consumer research.
• Exposure to P&L management and A&P budget responsibility.
• Excellent project management, presentation and business writing skills.
• Goal‑oriented, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
