About the role

Join Australian Timber Supplies Pty Ltd (ATS), one of Sydney’s largest timber importers and distributors, as an Assistant Accountant. This permanent full‑time position offers exposure to core financial accounting functions and the chance to grow with a fast‑paced, industry‑leading company.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and corporate card expense processing.
• Execute inter‑company and monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Process payments via online banking and handle statutory reporting requirements.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and support the Financial Controller as needed.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High productivity and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
• Motivated to drive continuous improvement within the finance team.
