Asset Management Finance & Insurance Officer – 12‑Month Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking an Asset Management Finance and Insurance Officer to join the City of Bunbury’s Assets Team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports infrastructure asset accounting, data management and the coordination of the city’s insurance activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely insurance responses.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update infrastructure asset registers and financial records.
• Prepare and analyse asset‑related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the city’s insurance portfolio, including policy administration, claims processing and renewal activities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure data integrity across asset management systems.
• Provide timely advice on insurance requirements and risk mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Completed or progressing towards a Diploma in Accounting or Asset Management, or equivalent experience in infrastructure financial management.

Required skills

• Asset accounting and financial reporting.
• Data management within asset management systems.
• Insurance policy administration and claims handling.

• Level 5 or Level 6 salary under the City of Bunbury Enterprise Agreement ($96,705–$105,044 AUD per annum).
