Area Manager – Retail (Australia)

About the role

The Area Manager will oversee the performance of multiple stores across Australia for a contemporary fashion jewellery brand. This role combines sales leadership, operational oversight, and customer‑service excellence to drive growth and maintain high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to meet company objectives and increase brand visibility.
• Analyse sales data, set business strategies, and establish goals for store managers.
• Coach and support associates to improve sales techniques and deliver superior customer service.
• Collaborate with marketing to identify promotional opportunities and organise events, previews, and sales campaigns.
• Conduct market analysis, forecast sales, and prepare P&L reports and commission schemes.
• Resolve client issues promptly and manage special events such as collection previews.
• Identify and secure new retail locations, ensure facility maintenance, and oversee inventory accuracy and loss‑prevention measures.
• Implement merchandising directives and visual standards across all stores.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or area management, preferably within fashion or jewellery.
• Strong leadership ability to build and motivate high‑performing teams.
• Excellent analytical skills for sales forecasting and market analysis.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong problem‑resolution capabilities.
