Architectural Building Designer - High-End Homes

About the role

The boutique residential construction firm is seeking an Architectural Building Designer to lead the design of high‑end custom homes and major renovations across Sydney’s suburbs. You will work closely with clients, engineers and contractors to translate design concepts into detailed, build‑ready documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to capture design requirements and preferences.
• Create detailed architectural plans and 3D models using Revit.
• Prepare and submit council documentation, including development applications and building permits.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to support seamless project delivery.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve design issues.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new materials and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Building Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential architectural design.
• Strong understanding of building codes, DA/CDC/CC processes and construction workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Creative eye for detail and a passion for high‑quality design.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit software.
