Architect

About the role

NBRS is seeking a registered Architect to join its multidisciplinary practice and support growth in Sydney and Melbourne. The role involves delivering people‑oriented spaces from concept through construction, working both independently and as part of collaborative project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage or contribute to projects across all stages, from concept design to delivery.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Work autonomously on smaller projects, delivering outcomes with minimal supervision.
• Support larger project teams, meeting delivery milestones and strategic goals.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in design reviews, documentation, and project coordination activities.

Required profile

• Accredited degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• Registration with the relevant State Board of Architects.
• At least 5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of BCA, NCC, Australian Standards and planning frameworks.
• Demonstrated creativity and design strength.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Suite.
• Competence with Microsoft Office programs.
