Architect (3-month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑career architect to join our construction‑tech venture on a three‑month contract. You will move beyond hand‑drawing plans and help build the software‑driven design system that turns floor plans into assembly‑ready homes. Working closely with the founder, you will own the design layer and create the tools that let a single architect produce hundreds of buildable variations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop floor plans, interior layouts and design variations across the residential portfolio.
• Build parametric libraries and logic that scale a single good plan into many buildable options.
• Design AI‑native workflows using Claude Code to generate and refine design permutations quickly.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, translating digital models into steel, timber and freight specifications.
• Reduce the founder’s direct involvement in design files, allowing focus on commercial activities.

Required profile

• Qualified architect with several years of real‑world project experience.
• Deep understanding of construction costs, timelines and material constraints.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving startup environment and collaborating with technical teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, ArchiCAD and Grasshopper.
• Hands‑on experience directing AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code.
