APS6 Senior Procurement Officer (Temporary)

About the role

A Federal Government organisation is seeking an experienced APS6-level Senior Procurement Officer to join its corporate procurement function for an initial 6-month temporary assignment. You will join a small procurement team supporting stakeholders across the organisation, providing procurement advice, governance and end-to-end sourcing support, with a strong operational procurement and financial management focus including the use of TechOne and P2P.

Key responsibilities

• Support and lead procurement and contract management activities while ensuring compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
• Deliver end-to-end corporate procurement, including planning, approaches to market, evaluation, negotiation and contract establishment
• Provide high-level procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
• Support contract formation, variations, supplier performance and contract management compliance
• Manage procurement risk, governance, probity and audit requirements
• Reconcile purchase orders, contracts, invoices and payments using TechOne Finance One P2P
• Maintain procurement data integrity and support reporting and analysis
• Provide first-line support to users of TechOne P2P, including requisitioning, receipting and reporting
• Work with Finance to improve procurement systems, processes and workflows

Required profile

• Strong Federal Government corporate procurement experience
• Sound knowledge of the CPRs and demonstrated end-to-end procurement and contract management capability
• Hands-on TechOne/Finance One P2P experience, including procurement reporting, financial reconciliation and compliance
• Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, Excel and data analysis skills
