Application Engineer II - Automation

About the role

The Application Engineer II will support SEL field technical staff and customers by providing expertise on R&D products, creating documentation, and delivering technical training.

Key responsibilities

• Train internal and external technical support staff on SEL products and technologies.
• Author service bulletins, application literature, manuals, and data sheets.
• Perform competitive analysis and develop project use cases.
• Establish and execute validation testing and product demonstrations.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, commercial bids, and participate in sales and marketing activities.
• Contribute to product specifications and conduct special studies or tests as required by customers.

Required profile

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience with electric power systems, communication, or automation practices.
• Excellent technical training, speaking, documentation, and writing skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and ability to pass background and drug tests.
