Application Developer - PowerApps (Fixed Term)

About the role

Transport for NSW is looking for an Application Developer to design, build and support scalable applications, workflows and portals using the Microsoft Power Platform. The role delivers secure, user-centric solutions that reduce manual effort and enable digital self-service for staff and customers, within an agile, multidisciplinary environment. It is a fixed-term full-time position until 30 June 2027, based in Macquarie Park, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support scalable applications, workflows and portals using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Pages, delivering secure, user-centric solutions.
• Collaborate with business, product and technical stakeholders to turn complex requirements into intuitive, maintainable designs, integrating with Microsoft 365, Azure services and enterprise systems.
• Contribute to a maturing Power Platform practice by applying ALM best practices, supporting and optimising live solutions, strengthening governance and standards and promoting continuous learning and responsible low-code development.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, designing and delivering solutions with Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Pages.
• Solid technical foundation across Power Platform architecture, environments, security, data modelling and governance.
• Proven experience integrating solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure services and wider enterprise systems, and applying ALM practices such as solution packaging, source control and multi-environment deployments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
