ANZ Business Unit Commercial Controller

About the role

The ANZ Business Unit Commercial Controller leads financial planning, controlling, and reporting for the Australia & New Zealand cluster. The role ensures data integrity, supports strategic decisions, and drives performance through deep commercial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting and forecasting across the ANZ cluster, aligning with Group guidelines.
• Consolidate and validate financial data from Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Overheads.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast) and identify risks and opportunities.
• Deliver monthly and year‑end closing activities, including pricing, margin, and investment analysis.
• Provide actionable insights to support business decisions and financial targets.
• Monitor key financial indicators such as customer/channel performance, gross‑to‑net evolution, and cost structures.
• Support pricing strategy evaluation and financial impact assessments.
• Oversee budget control for marketing, trade spend, and investments.
• Manage cash‑flow, balance‑sheet metrics (DSO, DIO, DPO) and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Group financial policies and reporting standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional controlling teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop a finance team, fostering an inclusive high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA, CA, MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Extensive experience in FP&A, controlling or commercial finance within a complex, matrix environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management experience.
