Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to create the native Android experience for BJAK’s AI‑powered neobank app. You will focus on clean user flows, fast performance and high‑quality mobile features that reach real customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship native Android features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards and AI‑assisted journeys.
• Transform complex financial processes into simple, fast, reliable mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend and AI teams to move features from idea to production.
• Own app quality, including performance, crash rate, loading states, edge‑case handling and release stability.
• Use production feedback, analytics and user behaviour to iterate on shipped features.
• Integrate APIs, authentication, secure data handling and financial workflows with a focus on reliability.

Required profile

• Strong native Android experience using Kotlin.
• Proven track record shipping Android apps used by real users.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow and modern development practices.
• Strong product sense with a focus on user experience, not just screens.
• Ability to debug production issues and improve performance, reliability and overall app quality.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast‑moving startup environment.
