Android Developer - AI Finance Agent

About the role

KIRA is building an AI‑powered finance assistant for the Southeast Asian market. We need an Android software engineer who can create fast, reliable, and user‑friendly mobile experiences for insurance, payments, and broader financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship Android features using Kotlin.
• Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend REST APIs and ensure stability, security, and reliability of mobile flows.
• Optimize app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness, and memory usage.
• Leverage analytics and production data to continuously improve the product.
• Implement AI‑assisted experiences only when they add genuine value to the user journey.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong fundamentals in Android and a track record of shipping production apps.
• Good knowledge of Jetpack, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture.
• Solid understanding of mobile UX, usability, edge cases and user flows.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and troubleshooting production issues.
• High ownership, fast execution and strong attention to product quality.
• Transparent about personal contributions and team impact.
