Analyst/Assistant Vice President, Country HR Support

About the role

This position provides operational assistance to the Head of HR for both Bank and Securities divisions in Australia. You will ensure HR activities comply with local labour laws and regulatory requirements while balancing global consistency with local relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison between the Country Head (General Manager) and HR, gathering business needs and communicating them to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate HR programmes, regulatory submissions, annual certifications, licence renewals and statutory audit responses.
• Prepare accurate reports, presentations and statutory submissions for internal and external boards and committees.
• Monitor people‑related risk indicators such as mandatory training compliance and whistleblowing activity.
• Support employee‑relations activities, including case management and documentation for meetings with trade unions or employee representatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR support, coordination or administration at a country or regional level, preferably within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industry‑specific regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across cultures.
• High level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to analyse data and produce reports to support strategic HR decisions.
