Analog Design Engineer

About the role

An established Australian design services consultancy, headquartered in Adelaide, is looking for an experienced Analog Design Engineer to join its engineering team. The role covers the design and development of analog electronic systems and circuits, working with multidisciplinary teams to turn system requirements into high-performance hardware solutions, from initial requirements through design, testing and production. It offers ownership of analog design activities and contribution to overall system architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop analog electronic circuits and systems
• Translate system requirements into robust hardware solutions
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation and design verification
• Develop schematics and support PCB design activities
• Work closely with digital, FPGA, firmware and systems engineers
• Select components and contribute to hardware architecture decisions
• Support prototype development, testing and debugging, and identify and resolve hardware design issues
• Develop technical documentation and design specifications
• Engage with customers and provide technical input throughout projects

Required profile

• Strong background in analog electronics design, with experience developing and testing complex electronic systems
• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience in a design consultancy or engineering services environment is highly advantageous
• Must currently reside in Australia and hold full Australian working rights; visa sponsorship is not available
