Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2 or 3) - Casual

About the role

Bayside Health, a public health service covering metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland, is offering a casual Allied Health Assistant position in Frankston, Victoria, with the option to work across different sites. The role sits within the allied health workforce and is supervised by qualified Allied Health Professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of safe, personal, effective and connected care under the delegation and supervision of qualified Allied Health Professionals.
• Assist with therapeutic interventions and support programs in line with prescribed treatment plans and client goals.
• Provide delegated clinical and non-clinical support.
• Monitor and report patient progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Health Professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Grade 3 assistants carry out the full scope of Grade 2 duties, with a broader range of delegated clinical activities, greater autonomy and support for patients with more complex care needs.

Required profile

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) for Grade 2; Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) for Grade 3.
• Demonstrated competence with IT systems.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
