Air Freight Import Specialist

About the role

Join DHL Global Forwarding’s Air Freight Import Department in Matraville, Sydney as an Air Freight Import Specialist. You will be the primary contact for allocated customers, managing job files from creation through to closure while ensuring shipments meet on‑time performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the key point of contact for customers, creating, managing and closing job files.
• Respond to customer queries, escalating issues when necessary and ensuring timely resolution.
• Complete bookings, prepare documentation, and update the TMS for all shipment milestones.
• Monitor shipment progress, minimise costs, maximise gross profit, and ensure accurate billing.
• Support claim and dispute resolution and proactively oversee shipments to drive customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in freight forwarding.
• Australian resident/citizen or holder of a valid visa with full working rights.
• Demonstrated ability to focus on results, maintain a positive mindset and work collaboratively.
