Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic (ACT)

About the role

A recruitment partner is looking for experienced air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics to join its team in Fyshwick, ACT. The client, Atlantis Projex Pty Ltd (Climate Master), is a family-owned business with over 25 years of experience in heating and cooling installations, upgrades and maintenance. There are three available full-time positions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement routine maintenance schedules to prevent breakdowns and extend the life of refrigeration systems
• Carry out onsite field work for breakdowns as needed
• Perform general service and repair on truck-mounted refrigeration units
• Install and pre-delivery fit out of road transport refrigeration units
• Safely handle, recover and recharge refrigerants in line with industry regulations

Required profile

• Trade-qualified refrigeration mechanic
• Experience in general service and repair of truck-mounted refrigeration units
• Proven experience in refrigeration system diagnosis, maintenance and repair
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work unsupervised

Required skills

• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot using a multimeter
• Refrigerant recovery and recharging
