AI Consultant

About the role

First Focus is seeking an AI Consultant to help Australian businesses move beyond AI hype and deliver real operational value. You will work with CEOs and teams to identify practical AI use cases, shape strategy, and guide responsible adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Identify AI opportunities that improve business outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Translate business challenges into practical AI use cases and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead AI discovery workshops with customers and key stakeholders.
• Champion AI adoption across client organisations and educate stakeholders.
• Advise customers on AI strategy, governance and responsible AI practices.
• Design and recommend AI solutions using leading platforms such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
• Collaborate with technical and consulting teams to deliver successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in technology consulting, digital transformation or AI advisory.
• Strong understanding of generative AI platforms, ideally OpenAI and/or Anthropic.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain English.
• Proven ability to facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Confidence advising customers on AI governance, ethics and responsible adoption.
• Commercial thinking with a balance of innovation and practical business outcomes.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
