Agile Project Manager

About the role

Export Finance Australia is seeking an Agile Project Manager to lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and complex IT projects that support Australian exporters and strategic sectors. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners to deliver value‑focused outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain delivery governance, including status reporting, financial tracking, and escalation management.
• Manage cross‑functional project teams, assigning the right people to the right tasks.
• Organise and lead program increment (big‑room) planning sessions to align objectives, priorities, and dependencies.
• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are well defined, prioritised, and progressing efficiently.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple teams, managing risks, dependencies, and removing blockers.
• Continuously assess delivery using metrics and retrospectives to improve performance.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Influence senior stakeholders to support delivery outcomes and priority trade‑offs.
• Communicate delivery status, risks, and outcomes clearly to all stakeholders.
• Drive evolution of product and technology delivery practices and enhance existing frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certification in one or more project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications).
• At least 3 years of experience facilitating agile teams and managing complex IT projects.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule, and manage project risks and financials.
