Advanced Trainee – General Medicine (Full‑time)

About the role

The Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Advanced Trainee in General Medicine to join our specialist referral and trauma centre located 150 km east of Melbourne. Starting in August 2026, this fixed‑term, full‑time position involves providing day‑to‑day medical care under senior supervision and working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily medical care to in‑patients and out‑patients under the direction of senior medical staff.
• Collaborate with nurses, allied health professionals and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Participate in clinical handovers and contribute to patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical graduate eligible for an Advanced Trainee position in General Medicine.
• Authorized to work in Australia.
• Willingness to reliably commute to or relocate to Traralgon, VIC.
• Ability to work 86 hours per fortnight on a full‑time schedule.
