Admitted Solicitor – Family & Criminal Law

About the role

We are a thriving boutique firm specialising in family and criminal litigation. We are seeking an admitted solicitor to work closely with the Principal Lawyer, handling a diverse range of complex matters and contributing to the firm’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Principal and team on busy family, criminal and civil litigation matters.
• Manage files autonomously, including court attendance for hearings, mentions, mediations and trials.
• Research, draft and file court documents such as statements of claim, affidavits, orders and submissions.
• Provide independent client advice, take instructions, prepare letters of advice and handle day‑to‑day correspondence.
• Confer with clients and coordinate with counsel as required.

Required profile

• Admitted solicitor in NSW with some post‑qualification experience.
• Experience managing matters in Local, District, Supreme, Federal Circuit and Family Courts.
• Proactive, "can‑do" attitude with strong time‑management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
