Acquisition Sustainment Unit Lead

About the role

The Acquisition Sustainment Unit Lead will head the Supply and Training Support streams for the AIR6500 IAMD C2 Program’s new Sustainment Management Unit, ensuring effective governance, assurance and integration across stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Act as an ILS SME to support Introduction into Service (IIS) and sustainment activities.
• Coordinate support system integration across AIR6500, CAF14, CELGU, SRG and industry partners.
• Lead governance and assurance for the Supply and Training support streams during ASU stand‑up and initial operations.
• Manage Government Furnished Equipment (GFX) sustainment readiness in line with SLA/MOU arrangements.
• Facilitate tabletop exercises and Day‑in‑the‑Life events to assess sustainment readiness.

Required profile

• Eligible to access US Export Controlled (ITAR) information.
• Tertiary engineering qualification.
• Ability to attend RAAF Williamtown five days per week.
• Experience in complex acquisition or sustainment environments, preferably Defence ILS/IPS practice.
