Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

Robert Half is recruiting an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer for a privately owned business in Melbourne CBD, close to Southern Cross Station. You will support the finance function and help ensure billing accuracy and financial integrity. This is a permanent full-time position with a salary of $75-85k plus super per annum, with one day a week working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate payments and process daily banking and reconciliations
• Handle copy invoice requests and process credit notes
• Run credit control activities for overdue accounts and process refunds
• Manage the Accounts Receivable inbox and client account reconciliations
• Generate reports such as monthly statements and reminder notices
• Manage client relationships

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in an Accounts Receivable role, with a good understanding of collections, reconciliations and credit processes
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting

Required skills

• Intermediate level of MS Excel
• Comfortable using accounting systems
