Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

Federal Group, a Tasmanian-owned business with a portfolio spanning hospitality, tourism, entertainment and technology, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Officer for its Corporate Finance team in Launceston. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, you will manage debtor accounts and collections so they stay accurate and fall within agreed timeframes, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage debtor accounts and collections within agreed timeframes
• Process receipts and maintain accurate account records
• Respond to accounts receivable enquiries promptly and professionally
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and outstanding balances
• Prepare invoice batches as required
• Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and procedures
• Contribute to team objectives and continuous improvement across the finance function

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an accounts receivable role
• Previous experience in an accounts receivable environment
• Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Enjoys problem-solving and works well independently and in a team

Required skills

• Experience with RMS, BC or similar financial systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong organisational and time management skills, able to meet deadlines
