Accounts Officer / Clerk (Hybrid, Sydney)

About the role

Yaffa Media is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer/Clerk to join its finance team in Surry Hills, Sydney. The role is hybrid, with two days in the office and two days remote each week, and reports to the Financial Controller. You will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, purchase orders and payment transactions with accuracy.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements daily.
• Record financial transactions in XERO and ensure proper filing of documentation.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
• Perform general administrative duties to support the finance function.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer or Accounts Clerk.
• Strong organisational abilities and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across the organisation.
