Accounting Manager – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

Zoomlion Australia & New Zealand is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of its Australian subsidiary. This senior role combines financial control, compliance oversight, and strategic business partnering to ensure accurate reporting and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, preparing management and statutory financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards and Group policies.
• Manage end‑to‑end tax compliance (GST, FBT, PAYG, corporate tax, transfer pricing) and act as primary liaison with the ATO, external auditors and advisors.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes, providing analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Design, implement and monitor internal controls; streamline ERP, e‑invoicing, AP, AR, payroll and fixed‑asset processes.
• Mentor and develop the local finance team, fostering high performance and continuous learning.
• Coordinate reporting and consolidation with Group Finance, ensuring alignment across all financial matters.

Required profile

• Full professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Deep knowledge of Australian taxation, financial reporting standards and corporate compliance, with proven experience handling ATO reviews and external audits.
• Unrestricted Australian working rights (permanent resident or citizen).
