Accounting and Finance Operations Manager – ANZ

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting and Finance Operations Manager to lead finance activities across our Australian and New Zealand entities. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will oversee a broad range of functions including AP, AR, payroll, treasury, tax compliance, GL and month‑end close.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team in Australia and New Zealand.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes for all ANZ entities.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, treasury and general ledger operations.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts and monitor working‑capital performance.
• Review statutory obligations such as BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax and income‑tax schedules.
• Coordinate external audit requirements and act as the primary contact for auditors.
• Maintain strong financial controls and drive continuous improvement in finance processes and systems.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of financial accounting experience with autonomy.
• Demonstrated experience in finance operations or management roles.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management capabilities.

Required skills

• Financial reporting and month‑end close expertise.
• Balance‑sheet controls and reconciliation.
• Australian taxation and statutory compliance knowledge.
• Experience with payroll, treasury, AP and AR processes.
• Proficiency in finance systems and continuous‑improvement mindset.
