Accountants – All Levels (Expressions of Interest)

About the role

BDO Australia is seeking accountants at all experience levels to join its Business Services team in North Queensland. You will work alongside partners to deliver high‑quality accounting, tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Support partners in preparing income tax returns, financial statements, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Provide tax compliance and client advisory services across various industries.
• Assist with the preparation and review of accounting documentation for start‑ups, growing enterprises and established organisations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) or Bachelor of Commerce.
• Previous experience in a tax accountant role.
• Eligibility for, or completion of, a CA or CPA qualification.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong relationship‑building abilities.
• Critical thinking, problem‑solving and excellent communication skills.
• Professional, proactive and eager to learn.
