Accountant – Transport & Logistics (Laverton North)

About the role

The accountant will join a fast‑growing transport and logistics organisation at its Laverton North site. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide day‑to‑day accounting support and help drive accurate financial performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial reports for month‑end and year‑end.
• Process invoices, payments and other financial transactions.
• Monitor costs, expenses and operational financial performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support audit activities.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous accounting experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
• Experience in transport, logistics or supply‑chain environments is highly regarded.
