Accountant – Taxation Specialist (Full-time/Part-time)

About the role

BMO Business Centre is looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Dalby office on a full‑time or permanent part‑time basis. You will provide comprehensive accounting and taxation support to a diverse portfolio of regional businesses, ensuring compliance while delivering strategic financial advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and accounting records for individual and business clients.
• Advise clients on income tax planning, deductions and compliance requirements.
• Conduct tax reconciliations and liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on client matters.
• Identify tax minimisation opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
• Maintain accurate client files and documentation in line with professional standards.
• Collaborate with the management team and contribute to the professional development of colleagues.
• Ensure all work adheres to accounting standards and ethical requirements.

Required profile

• A recognised accounting qualification (CPA, CA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3‑4 years of taxation accounting experience with solid knowledge of Australian tax law.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.
