Accountant / Senior Accountant - Tax

About the role

Pitcher Partners is looking for a skilled Accountant or Senior Accountant with a strong focus on Tax to join its Brisbane team. The role involves close collaboration with Partners, Directors, Managers and fellow accountants across a diverse client base, including small to large domestic and cross-border businesses and listed companies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tax and financial compliance for clients, including preparing financial statements, tax reconciliations and tax returns (GST, FBT, payroll)
• Assist in providing tax advisory services and tailor advice to clients' businesses
• Review client files and prepare first drafts of financial and tax documents for management review
• Provide solutions for complex tax matters and maintain extensive, clear client contact

Required profile

• Degree qualified; accounting and/or law qualifications are highly regarded
• Completed or completing CA/CPA qualification
• Experience applying various employment taxation matters in a professional environment
• Eager to move beyond specialist advisory into general accounting and taxation advisory and compliance for middle-market businesses
• Inquisitive, enjoys legal research, and has strong written and verbal communication skills
• Motivated to learn, be challenged and be mentored
