Accountant – Public Practice (2-3 yrs experience)

About the role

Join a well‑established Chartered Accounting firm with a 70‑year history and offices in Newcastle, Brisbane and Melbourne. This position is ideal for an accountant with 2‑3 years of public practice experience seeking to deepen technical expertise while working with a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for a variety of entities.
• Compile and lodge tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide client advisory support on accounting and tax matters.
• Collaborate with senior managers on complex engagements.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Accounting or a related discipline.
• 2‑3 years experience in a public practice environment.
• CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking the qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge and effective communication skills.
• Motivated to learn, develop and build long‑term client relationships.
