About the role
RSM is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Geraldton office. You will analyse financial information, prepare reports and tax returns for a diverse client base, supporting both corporate and individual needs.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse financial data and prepare financial statements in line with current accounting standards.
- Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, providing advice on GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax.
- Develop clear work papers and documentation for client meetings with partners.
- Identify, research and resolve complex accounting issues and produce management accounting reports.
- Mentor graduate staff and act as a buddy.
Required profile
- Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
