Accountant - Investment Portfolio

About the role

A well-established, privately owned group is looking for an Accountant to support the CFO and run accounting and finance across its investments in a hands-on role with real variety and genuine exposure. The business operates across a diverse portfolio of entities in a small, high-performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting across a portfolio of group entities
• Manage the general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close for each entity
• Prepare financial statements and support the annual audit process
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Support BAS, GST and tax compliance, and liaise with external accountants and auditors
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and improvements to finance processes and controls

Required profile

• Degree qualified in accounting or finance, with CA or CPA status (or progressing towards it)
• Proven experience in funds management, investment accounting or multi-entity accounting
• Experience across multiple entities, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
• Proactive, self-motivated attitude and confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders
• Clear written and verbal communication

Required skills

• Strong Excel skills and exposure to AI and process streamlining
• Understanding of GST, BAS and tax compliance (not essential)

Salary: AU$110,000 - AU$130,000 per annum plus benefits and flexibility. Full-time position, reference BBBH34631_1793148327.
