Account Manager NAPA - 4WD & Transmission (Dandenong)

About the role

NAPA, part of Genuine Parts Company, is recruiting an Account Manager for its 4WD and transmission business in Dandenong. The role reports to a Channel Manager and works closely with NAPA Branch Managers to build business relationships with target customers in the territory. It is a sales-focused position responsible for the sales and gross margin performance of the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Solve customer problems through consultation, relationship building and understanding customer needs
• Own the sales and gross margin performance of the territory
• Attend and take part in sales meetings, trade shows and training sessions
• Achieve sales budgets
• Develop new business and manage existing accounts
• Promote a safety-first culture and practice safe driving; the role involves lifting, bending, climbing and safe driving

Required profile

• Engaging, strong communicator with sound negotiating skills
• Solutions and service focused, able to thrive in a KPI-driven environment
• Track record in account management or business development
• Sales and/or customer management experience (automotive industry preferred)
• Ability to build relationships with customers and company stakeholders
• Passion for all things automotive
• Valid Australian driver's licence
