Account Executive - Insurance Broking

About the role

Gallagher is looking for a motivated Account Executive to manage a dedicated SME and mid-market client portfolio while working alongside Senior Brokers on diverse and complex accounts. As a key point of contact for your clients, you will design tailored risk solutions and negotiate effectively within the market. The role sits within the Commercial Broking business in Darwin.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with SME and mid-market clients, owning their renewals and support
• Assess risk and design tailored insurance solutions
• Negotiate with insurers to achieve optimal outcomes and build strong partnerships with underwriters
• Manage portfolio budgets, business plans and debtors
• Support new business growth through pipeline development
• Promote the Arthur J. Gallagher brand locally, in the region and nationally

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience
• Insurance license required
• Previous experience in a similar insurance or broking role is highly regarded
• Preferred: professional designation such as CPCU, CIC or ARM

Required skills

• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
• Strong account management with attention to detail
• Excellent sales capability and outstanding verbal and written communication skills
