Account Director - Health/Pharma

About the role

Orchard, Australia's leading health and wellness agency, is looking for an Account Director in its Health/Pharma practice. You will be the day-to-day lead on complex health/pharma accounts and multi-brand portfolios, linking clients with internal teams, owning the commercial health of your accounts and running delivery end-to-end. You will also coordinate creative, medical writing, strategy and tech, lead regulatory workflows and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the day-to-day client contact, keeping clients informed and proactively flagging challenges with options
• Align internal teams to client marketing strategies and turn briefs into scoped plans with milestones, dependencies and review gates
• Own schedules, budgets, risks and quality across digital and omnichannel projects (sites, iVAs/eDetailers, approved emails, campaigns, content programs)
• Partner with project managers where assigned, run stand-ups, WIPs and stakeholder forums, and mentor juniors on estimation, briefing and handover
• Lead MLR and regulatory workflows (Medicines Australia Code, TGA) with proper documentation, oversee routing through Veeva PromoMats/Vault and ensure audit readiness
• Manage account budgets, burn and change control, track projects weekly, take part in fortnightly BVA meetings and maintain accurate revenue forecasts
• Identify organic growth opportunities and use AI tools to speed up documentation, risk scans, QA checklists and status reporting

Required profile

• 5-7+ years in digital, creative or health communications, with a strong record in regulated delivery
• End-to-end delivery experience across omnichannel campaigns, content programs and digital assets
• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and financially literate, with clear written and verbal communication

Required skills

• Veeva and MLR cycle confidence, including claims and referencing with medical writers
• Use of Orchard's tool suite (Workbook, Jira, PageProof, Confluence)
