About the role
Kick‑start your career as a Mechanical Apprentice with QantasLink in Sydney. You will join a four‑year engineering apprenticeship that blends classroom learning with hands‑on work on the airline’s regional fleet.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect and diagnose faults on aircraft airframes, engines and mechanical components.
- Service undercarriage, wheels, brakes, pressurisation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Support flight control, engine control and environmental control system maintenance.
- Rotate through relevant engineering business areas to gain broad exposure.
Required profile
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
- Willingness to work all shift patterns and start in early 2027.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proactive learning attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Required skills
- Airframe inspection and fault diagnosis.
- Undercarriage, wheel and brake maintenance.
- Pressurisation, pneumatic and hydraulic system servicing.
- Flight control, engine control and environmental control system knowledge.
- Use of a range of hand tools.
