About the role

Newman Youth Centre is recruiting a Youth Engagement Assistant for a casual pool position covering 2026-2027. The role sits within Community Services / Youth and involves working with young people in a team environment, supporting the Shire's vision and objectives.

Required profile

• Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain one
• Current Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one
• Understanding of the role of Youth Work in a community setting
• Ability to work in a team and to engage with young people from a variety of backgrounds
• Understanding of safety practices and effective communication skills
