Year 4 Class Teacher (Maternity Leave Cover) – Full Time

About the role

Al-Hidayah Islamic School is seeking a passionate Year 4 Class Teacher to cover maternity leave for Term 3 and 4 of 2026. The role begins on 22 June 2026 and includes a two‑week handover period, allowing time for planning and preparation before the semester starts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the Western Australian Curriculum to Year 4 students through inquiry‑based and play‑based pedagogies.
• Integrate Islamic values, Qur’an and Sunnah teachings into daily classroom activities.
• Plan, assess, and differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Build strong partnerships with families, colleagues, and the wider school community.
• Utilise ICT tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings, professional development, and reflective practice.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA).
• Minimum four‑year tertiary teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching primary‑aged students, especially in literacy and numeracy.
• Sound knowledge of Islam based on Qur’an and Sunnah and its application in an educational setting.
• Fluent English communication skills and ability to teach effectively in English.
• Australian citizenship or valid working rights.
