Workplace Safety Manager

About the role

AP+ is seeking a Workplace Safety Manager to lead and evolve health and safety across the organisation on a permanent part‑time basis. You will work two days per week in the Sydney CBD office, partnering with senior leaders to embed a proactive safety culture and support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the workplace health and safety framework.
• Provide trusted advice on WHS governance, compliance and risk management.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, emergency preparedness drills and safety initiatives.
• Partner with leaders to identify and manage workplace risks proactively.
• Oversee contractor and supplier WHS governance to ensure consistent standards.
• Support wellbeing and employee experience initiatives.
• Monitor legislative and industry changes to keep practices compliant.
• Use data and reporting to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Robust experience in a workplace safety role within a professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and modern risk‑management practices.
• Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver business‑focused safety outcomes.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
