Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant (Contractor)

About the role

KINNECT, an Australian-owned leader in occupational health and workplace rehabilitation, has recently established a presence in Darwin and is looking for an experienced Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant to partner with it as it grows its footprint in the Northern Territory. The company aims to build a consistent workload with an established local contractor over time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ergonomic and functional capacity assessments
• Perform workplace assessments and develop suitable duties programs
• Case manage injuries and coordinate with treating doctors and health professionals to support recovery and return to work
• Provide clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing
• Engage management and safety representatives onsite
• Deliver injury prevention programs

Required profile

• Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Exercise Physiologist with experience in workplace rehabilitation
• Current registration with AHPRA or ESSA
• Your own company established and delivering similar services elsewhere, with current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport

Required skills

• Excellent analytical and report writing skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage your own caseload
• Initiative to create value for clients
