Work Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

Data#3, an ASX 200 technology business headquartered in Brisbane with about 1,400 employees across 12 locations in Australia and Fiji, has created a new part-time Work Health & Safety Advisor role. It is based in Brisbane and covers a national remit, offering 20 to 25 hours per week with flexible days. The advisor manages all aspects of the company's WHS management system and gives trusted advice on off-site technical work, warehouses, offices, travel, events and customer activities.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen and maintain the WHS management system
• Enliven policies, procedures and risk control measures
• Support safety requirements for off-site technical work, warehouses, offices, travel and customer activities
• Deliver WHS training and awareness initiatives
• Support return-to-work, injury management and psychosocial risk activities
• Manage WHS reporting, analysis and assurance information for senior leaders and the Board
• Report into Legal & Risk Advisory and work closely with the Management and People & Culture teams

Required profile

• Proven experience leading WHS in multi-site and functional environments with a range of risk profiles
• Demonstrated success maintaining and enhancing WHS management systems
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, compliance and contemporary risk practices
• Ability to turn technical requirements into practical business advice
• Confidence working independently while building stakeholder relationships
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional WHS certifications
• Experience in ISO 45001, auditing, training or corporate environments is highly regarded

Required skills

• Familiarity with SharePoint-based technology
• Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance
