Warehouse Workers & Forklift Operators

About the role

Workforce Extensions Scoresby is recruiting Warehouse Workers and Forklift Operators for its clients in South East and East Melbourne. The work is casual and paid AUD 34-38 per hour, based in the Scoresby area.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unload and check incoming goods against delivery dockets and purchase orders.
• Pick, pack, label and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Move, stack and store goods in designated warehouse locations.
• Perform stock put-away, replenishment and inventory movements.
• Use RF scanners, computers or warehouse management systems where required.
• Operate forklifts safely to move, lift, stack and position goods.
• Load and unload pallets, trucks and containers according to workplace procedures.
• Complete pre-start inspections and report faults, damage or maintenance needs.
• Ensure loads are stable, secure and within the forklift's rated capacity, and use only equipment for which you are licensed, trained and authorised.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment.
• Experience loading and unloading containers.
• For forklift operators: current, appropriate forklift High Risk Work Licence and demonstrated safe, competent operation.
• Understanding of warehouse procedures, manual handling and workplace safety.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and a responsible attitude; good attention to detail with stock and paperwork.
