Warehouse / Storeperson

About the role

Orica is looking for a Warehouse / Storeperson to join its Welshpool team. This hands-on, varied role keeps operations moving safely and efficiently by managing inventory, operating forklifts and coordinating incoming deliveries so materials and equipment reach the right teams on time. The position supports Manufacturing and Maintenance operations while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation, resolving or escalating discrepancies.
• Accurately record goods in the ERP system and coordinate deliveries to the appropriate teams across the site.
• Manage storage, labelling and organisation of inventory, including stocktakes to keep stock levels accurate.
• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and move materials, equipment and freight.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping, safe storage, materials handling and equipment checks.
• Prepare equipment for dispatch and support warehouse inspections, audits and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in warehousing, stores, logistics, freight, inventory or materials handling.
• A current forklift licence with demonstrated safe operating experience.
• Experience receiving, checking and distributing goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, safe storage, manual handling and freight requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication, with a safety-first approach.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience using ERP or inventory systems; exposure to manufacturing, maintenance or industrial environments is highly regarded.
