Warehouse Officer

About the role

The Warehouse Officer will ensure samples move efficiently through the laboratory, are accessible to staff, and are properly stored or disposed of after use. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you will oversee daily warehouse operations and support the laboratory’s operational demand.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing and dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records using the ERP system, managing goods receipt, stock movements, purchase orders, traceability and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, safe work practices and company policies.
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm specifications, resolve supply issues and support procurement.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, laboratories, logistics, finance) to align warehouse activities with business needs.

Required profile

• Can‑do attitude with a commitment to safety.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and work in a warehouse environment.

Required skills

• Manual Handling Certificate (desirable).
• Fork Lifting License.
• Experience with procurement systems such as Coupa (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory management.
