Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator (Part‑time)

About the role

One Rail Australia is seeking a part‑time Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator to support its NSW maintenance team. Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will ensure critical spares are catalogued, stored and ready for planned maintenance of rail assets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with annual stocktake and conduct regular cycle counts.
• Coordinate calibration, certification and compliance of specialised test equipment, tools and lifting gear.
• Manage store operations including picking, loading/unloading trucks, replenishing stock and housekeeping.
• Raise purchase orders, procure parts, and expedite deliveries from suppliers.
• Update the Asset Management System (AMS) with new inventory items and maintain accurate records.
• Label inventory, transfer parts between sites and ship components to third‑party contractors.
• Track serialised components, arrange repair or refurbishment and ensure proper condition checks.
• Engage with local communities and handle complaints when required.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in rail, mining or heavy industry environments.
• Valid licences/tickets such as forklift, light truck, rigging, dogging or elevated work platform.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of personal integrity.
• Ability to read and interpret parts drawings and manuals.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with inventory or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Forklift operation.
