Warehouse Assistant

About the role

A growing team in Truganina, Melbourne, is looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Assistant. This is a hands-on, full-time permanent role with immediate start and full training provided. The successful candidate works closely with the warehouse team to receive, store and dispatch products efficiently. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential.

Key responsibilities

• Picking and packing customer orders
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming stock
• Preparing orders for dispatch
• Loading and unloading stock, pallets and containers
• Booking freight and coordinating dispatch activities
• Maintaining inventory accuracy and taking part in stock takes
• Organising and maintaining warehouse storage areas and general housekeeping
• Assisting with day-to-day warehouse operations as required

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Physically fit and able to handle bulky and awkward freight safely, with support provided for difficult items
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Current driver's licence preferred; forklift licence advantageous but not essential, with training available
