Ward Clerk – Part-time

About the role

We are seeking a Ward Clerk to join the clerical workforce at Western Health. The role involves providing administrative support across multiple inpatient wards, day procedure centres, emergency and urgent care departments on a part‑time or casual basis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage reception areas and visitor enquiries across various campuses.
• Perform clerical and data‑entry tasks related to the patient journey.
• Communicate with clinical and support teams to coordinate patient movements.
• Maintain and update patient medical records.
• Work scheduled shifts – AM (≈07:30‑16:00), PM (≈16:00‑21:30 or 15:00‑23:00) and, where required, night duty (23:00‑07:00).

Required profile

• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to multitask under pressure.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work across multiple campuses and at least three shifts per week.
• Desirable experience or knowledge of the health‑care sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
